This is a 2-hour zine workshop- Abolish the Imperial University

Join us for a political education session on UCI’s history of counterinsurgency, followed by a collective session of brainstorming, art-making, and knowledge production against the university. 

This workshop introduces zines as both an art and an organizing format. We will give examples of the making processes and facilitate an open dialogue regarding the political content to an academic audience. We will provide a set of 3-4 prompts for participants to choose from and discuss, leading to the creation of a collective zine project. 

Location: Humanities Interim Classroom Facilities 100P

Time: 6:30-8:30 PM, Feb 29th, 2024

Organizer: SJP UCI + UCI Graduate Students

Logistics: materials will be provided, but we encouraged you to bring your own art supplies and collage papers

This interactive session requires registration and is limited to 30-35 participants, on a first come first serve basis.
